1Policy Overview

This Cancellation and Refund Policy governs all flight bookings made through Cflyght, operated by CFT HULA, based in Thoré-la-Rochette, France.

As a travel agent, Cflyght facilitates bookings between you and airlines. Cancellation and refund policies are primarily determined by the airline's fare rules for your specific ticket. We process cancellations and refunds in accordance with these rules and applicable European Union regulations.

When you cancel or change a booking, two types of fees may apply: (1) Airline fees and penalties as determined by your fare rules, and (2) Cflyght service fees for processing your request. Both are detailed in this policy.

2EU Passenger Rights (EC 261/2004)

As a European Union regulated service, passengers flying from or to EU airports are protected under Regulation EC 261/2004. This provides specific rights in cases of cancellation, delay, or denied boarding by the airline.

  • Up to €600 compensation for cancelled flights (depending on distance)
  • Right to refund or re-routing when airline cancels flight
  • Care and assistance for long delays (meals, accommodation)
  • Compensation for delays of 3+ hours at final destination
  • Protection against denied boarding due to overbooking
  • 14-day advance notice requirement for schedule changes

3Fare Types & Flexibility

Airlines offer different fare types with varying levels of flexibility. Your cancellation and change options depend on the fare type you purchased:

Fully Refundable Fares

  • Premium tickets offering maximum flexibility. Cancel anytime for a full refund without airline penalties. Includes free changes and full refund options.

Flexible/Semi-Flexible Fares

  • Mid-range tickets allowing changes and cancellations with moderate fees. Often provide airline credit for future travel. Reduced penalties and change fees apply.

Non-Refundable/Basic Economy Fares

  • Lowest-priced tickets with significant restrictions. May not be eligible for refunds or may incur substantial penalties. Credit may apply for future travel with the same airline.

4Cancellation Fees

When you cancel a booking, the following fees may apply:

  • Airline Cancellation Penalty: Varies by fare type (€0 - Full ticket value; determined by airline fare rules)
  • Cflyght Processing Fee: €35 per ticket (non-refundable; covers cancellation processing services)
  • Original Service Fee: As charged at booking (non-refundable; services already rendered)

5Change & Modification Fees

If you need to change your flight date, time, or destination, the following fees apply:

  • Date/Time Change: €25 per ticket + Airline change fee + fare difference
  • Route/Destination Change: €25 per ticket + Airline change fee + fare difference
  • Name Correction (minor): €25 per ticket + Airline fee (if permitted)
  • Same-Day Changes: €35 per ticket + Airline fees + fare difference

6How to Cancel or Change

To cancel or change your Cflyght booking, please use one of the following methods:

7Refund Process & Timeline

When you are eligible for a refund, here is what to expect:

  • Request Submission (Day 1): Submit your cancellation request through any of our contact channels
  • Processing (24-48 hours): We verify your fare rules, process the cancellation with the airline, and calculate applicable refunds
  • Confirmation Email: You receive an email confirming the cancellation and detailing the refund amount
  • Credit Card Refunds: 7-14 business days after approval
  • Bank Transfer Refunds: 5-10 business days after approval
  • Airline Credit: 3-7 business days

8Airline-Initiated Changes

When an airline significantly changes or cancels your flight, you have enhanced rights:

Significant Schedule Changes

  • If the airline changes your flight by more than 2 hours, you may be entitled to: full refund without penalties, rebooking on an alternative flight at no extra cost, and Cflyght service fee refund (for airline-initiated cancellations).

Airline-Cancelled Flights

  • If your flight is cancelled by the airline, you are entitled to a full refund including all taxes and fees. We will assist you in obtaining your refund or rebooking on alternative flights.

9Special Circumstances

In exceptional circumstances, additional flexibility may be offered:

  • Force Majeure Events: Natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest - airlines may offer enhanced flexibility
  • Medical Emergencies: Some airlines offer compassionate refund policies for documented medical emergencies (documentation required)
  • Bereavement: Death in immediate family (death certificate required)
  • Military Orders: Active military personnel with official orders may be eligible for special policies

10No-Show Policy

If you do not show up for your flight without prior cancellation ("no-show"), you will typically forfeit the entire ticket value with no refund. Additionally:

  • All subsequent flights on your itinerary will be automatically cancelled
  • No refund or credit will be provided for no-shows
  • Taxes may be the only recoverable portion
  • We strongly recommend contacting us to cancel your booking before departure if you cannot travel

11Travel Insurance Recommendation

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect your travel investment. Travel insurance can provide coverage for situations not covered by airline refund policies:

  • Trip cancellation due to illness
  • Family emergencies
  • Non-refundable booking protection
  • Trip interruption coverage
  • Lost baggage reimbursement
  • Medical coverage while traveling
  • Emergency evacuation
